It was a year ago in December 2017 when was launched the project of academic cooperation  between North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, Nagasaki University and Fukushima Medical University. The project is focused on the development of mobility programs for master students from the faculty of Preventive medicine in the fields of radiation safety and protection, epidemiology of noncommunicable diseases and environmental hygiene.

During this time there were carried out a set of educational events and workshops.

In December 2018 by the Department for international affairs was formed a group of 6 students (Marina Gubina, Kseniia Votinseva, Karolina Zhukoff, Svetlana Khodanova, Anna Shadrina, Anastasiia Vasileva) who completed one of the modules in Radiological protection (lecturer: Prof. Jacques Lochard) at partner-University in Nagasaki. Furthermore we express gratitude to Prof. Takamura, leader of the project from the host party and his whole team for visit organization and the project promotion.

In 2019 it is planned to continue cooperation between our universities.
