During May 22-26, 2017 in NWSMU named after I.I.Mechnikov was held the international conference «Modern technologies in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery» in partnership with Yale University. Within the visit was conducted a serious of lectures and various cardiovascular surgeries by the following experts:

- Manuel Fontes - MD, Professor of Anesthesiology, Chief of Cardiac Anesthesiology; Director of clinical research,  Program Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship, Medical Director of perfusion services.
