Low data accessibility for the world scientific society is one of the major problems of Russian medicine. Foreign colleagues confirm that publications in international high-impact journals usually suggest one of its authors to be known by the reviewer and journal editors. This is proved by the experience of French and Spanish colleagues as well as by our partners from « Severniy» cluster from Northern State Medical University (Arkhangelsk) (the Ministry of Public Healthcare Decree № 844 from 26 November, 2015).
The collaboration with the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Tromsø being started within cooperation programme of Barents region countries allowed the academic staff from the Northern State Medical University not only to teach young scientists of modern clinical methodology and experimental researches but also to become one of the most published Russian Department of Anesthesiology abroad.
In 2015, our joint project with colleagues from Tromsø received a grant from the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU), which allowed starting the collaboration. Within this project Norwegian clinical guidelines for the treatment of extreme hypothermia have already been translated into Russian and prepared for publication .On March 15 colleagues from Tromsø headed by Prof. Lars J. Bjertnaes held at our University seminar "Modern medical research: from planning to publication".
The next step of our collaboration is to prepare joint publication of systematic review on the methods of treatment of severe cold injury .It is planned to organize a triple project: Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive care named after Vladimir L. Vanevskii, Department of Anesthesiology of Northern State Medical University and University of Tromsø. We would like to express special thanks to the Department for International Affairs headed by Natalya V. Zinserling for the continuous support and help.
