On November 6, 2014 Dr. N. Ravindranatana (Brunei), Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Central Hospital of Brunei visited the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Dentistry n.a. A.A. Limberg and the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the State Hospital №15, which is one of the clinical base of the Department.
The meeting took place in the frame of the visit of Mr. Dr. N. Ravindranatana in Russia with the aim to get acquainted with the medical institutions of Saint-Petersburg specializing in surgery of head and neck. The visit was carried out under the guidance of the Committee of Public Health and the Committee for International Affaires of Saint-Petersburg Government, and also with the active participation of Professor V.A. Kozlov, DSci, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of RAMS, Chief Maxillofacial Surgeon of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
After the meeting of the guest with A.N. Mironenko, Chief Physician of the State Hospital №15
it was organized a tour around the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery (Trauma surgery), leading by D.S. Devdariani, Dsci., Head of the Department, and S.S. Mushkovskaya, Associate Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Dentistry n.a. A.A. Limberg.
The guest was informed about the operations conducted at the Department, as well it was discussed issues of operational tactics. Common questions of international cooperation and spheres of cooperation were discussed at the meeting with the presence of the employee of the Department for International Affairs of North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
Dr. N. Ravindranatan expressed his admiration for the impressive results that demonstrate the maxillofacial surgeons of the Department and expressed his deepest hope for future cooperation.
